As a recently graduated Part II Architecture student from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow, it is my belief that architecture is derived and delivered from a rigorous design process;  a process communicated and collaborated through a variation of media and a multi-disciplinary approach. Each approach ought to be responsive to site context and character.

It is my belief that a concept, coupled and complimented through the complex calculation of spatial and sensual narratives, ensures an experience of emotion, energy and excitement.

Over a number of years I have established a passion for the continued exploration and experimentation of

  • materiality
  • the tactile and the haptic
  • form and geometry
  • the expression of structure
  • and the implementation of detail

Architecture is both rooted in place and people and it is therefore our responsibility to listen and to question, to read and to observe, to experience and to respond.

As designers we must carry the ability to transform conceptual thinking into a consistent architectural vocabulary.
